Read it in one afternoon. My favorite part of the book is when Aly, racked with guilt and unable to sleep, writes up a list of comparable scenarios from literature and popular culture: Aly is thirty five and teaches English to what the readers will assume are high schoolers the novel users words like ninth year and eleventh year student to denote student status. Media reporter, reviewer, producer, guest booker, blogger. The style is unique, perhaps even literary, but too choppy for my current needs.
